Happy 1st Birthday Owen! Today is really his birthday!

Remember this little guy six months ago?! Still adorable and just as sweet! We had a family photo shoot at Newell Park in St. Paul on Sunday and were practically eaten alive by mosquitoes, it was crazy! After a desperate application of bug spray and a few more photos at the Park we decided to head over to Hamline University campus (which thankfully was mosquito free) and shoot there. It was a lovely day and we got some great shots! More photos to come soon.

Kipton

Meet six month old cutie patootie Kipton. Very contemplative during our shoot, his big blue eyes always trying to figure everything out. Standing behind me were his parents, Heidi and Dana, and they were trying their hardest to get him to giggle or smile — he just wasn’t having it! We did get some sweet smiles though.

Thank you Heidi and Dana for letting me help you document what an adorable stage your little boy is in! I can’t wait to watch him grow!

“K” is for Kipton!

My favorite on the left — Kip was so happy being swung in his Mom’s arms!

Just trying to figure out what this big camera is doing in his face, I love his expression!

We headed to the backyard and he seemed to love the green beans from our garden!

Kipton is mastering the art of standing, which must be such a new sense of freedom for the little guy! Get ready for walking Kip — it is going to blow your mind! :)

What a beautiful family! Amber and Bob are high school sweethearts and grew up with Jake and me in Mankato – we have been good friends for a long time. Their two boys, Charlie and Wesley, are so handsome and have such distinct personalities. They were such great sports on a very humid photo shoot! Little Kate was a such a cutie with a hundred different facial expressions and is so loved by her two big brothers. She is a lucky girl!

Baby Owen

A few weeks ago my friend Brianne and her little boy Owen came over to our house for a morning photo shoot. I first met Owen when he was just one week old and was mostly concerned about sleeping, eating, and pooping — now this little guy is six months old and a bundle of giggling and drooling — pure JOY! He was so cute I could hardly stand it. Jake had so much fun making him laugh and you can see him doing just that in one of the photos below. Brianne is a lovely mother with such a contagious calmness — which is what I like about her so much (her husband Jarred is awesome too). Owen is one lucky little guy! I can’t wait to watch him grow.
