We all had fun exploring their acreage in Columbus, and were able to take advantage of the last bit of gorgeous fall weather. Three year old Asher was on the move for most of our shoot, but five week old Jory was content as can be. I really enjoyed our afternoon together – thanks Kelly and Luke!

She was a total champ during our chilly afternoon shoot – seriously, not a moment of fuss out of her. Lydia’s bright blue eyes were shining and her crazy cute hair was catching the light just right. Only recently mastered sitting up, I was very impressed with her confidence. It is always a pleasure, Megan and Chris. Enjoy this special time, and I look forward to Lydia’s one year portraits!

During this engagement shoot with Emily and Reed I discovered a few new Minneapolis gems, first of which was this awesome mural. Emily had driven by it and thought it would be a great place to start our afternoon. I know they didn’t plan it on purpose, but Emily and Reed’s outfits totally coordinated with the mural and they looked terrific together!

Another place in Minneapolis I had never been was Mill Ruins Park — I know, I know, I need to get out more! :) Wandering around the ruins was great. The colors, textures, and light were so pretty. Thanks for getting me out of St. Paul and into the great city of Minneapolis, Emily and Reed!

It is always fun to see how other people live, and Kate and Ben’s apartment was charming – I love the bold colors, especially the red dining room walls. Their adorable dog, Guillaume was excited to have a visitor, and as soon as I gave him my full attention he looked straight at my camera and was quite the model. After awhile we headed outside to nearby Theodore Wirth Park, which happened to be the place Ben proposed! It is a beautiful park and the leaves were just starting to change, making it an absolutely gorgeous fall morning. Kate and Ben were so great and I really enjoyed getting to know them more, which makes me even more excited for their wedding next year!

The leaves were just starting to change and the morning light was just beautiful. This young family has so much fun together and one year old Elizabeth definitely keeps her parents on their toes! She is such a sweet little girl, and I enjoyed capturing this stage in her life. Enjoy Katrina and Joseph!
