It was so much fun! Molly is a very talented singer and Chad is equally as talented on the banjo.

You might remember Molly and Chad from Anna and Ted’s rustic Withrow Ballroom wedding last summer, Molly and Anna are sisters. It was such a pleasure to reconnect and hang out with them again!

Molly and Chad are such a fun couple – incredibly laid back, loving, and not afraid to live life out loud. They brought their dog and a banjo to the place they got engaged and we wandered around Minnehaha Park enjoying the spring morning. The apple blossoms were in full bloom and they were so lovely. If I could carry an apple blossom tree in my back pocket I would not mind at all. I just wanted to crawl into their branches and take a nap.

Congratulations Molly and Chad!

Take a look back at her first year of life here, here, here, and here. A few weeks ago we met at The Walker for Lydia’s one year portraits. It was a gorgeous spring day and it was so fun to reminisce on the year we spent together. Thank you again Megan and Chris – it has been a true pleasure to photograph your family throughout the year!

Winter Hiatus http://ingmanphotography.com/blog/2012/04/11/winter-hiatus/ http://ingmanphotography.com/blog/2012/04/11/winter-hiatus/#comments Wed, 11 Apr 2012 15:04:15 +0000 Anne http://ingmanphotography.com/blog/?p=4517 Hello! You might have noticed that I took a bit of a winter hiatus. This tends to happen after the intense whirlwind wedding season winds down. It’s a great time for me to recharge and refocus – and I am incredibly grateful for the break. Jake and I took a trip to Tulum, Mexico in February and had an amazingly relaxing vacation. What an unbelievably beautiful place, and a trip we’ll never forget.

But now my winter hiatus is over. Because, let’s face it, spring is officially here! I’ve got a feature in Minnesota Bride to show you and a few upcoming shoots to share, and I’m really looking forward to this summer. Also, I cannot wait to start shooting with my new camera – the 5D Mark lll! I am so excited!

Boudoir Portraits – Jena http://ingmanphotography.com/blog/2012/01/20/boudoir-portraits-jena/ http://ingmanphotography.com/blog/2012/01/20/boudoir-portraits-jena/#comments Fri, 20 Jan 2012 18:12:01 +0000 Anne http://ingmanphotography.com/blog/?p=4088 My very first boudoir portrait shoot! I think both Jena and I were a bit nervous, but after awhile we both just relaxed and had fun! Doesn’t Jena look so pretty?! We did the shoot in her bedroom and the light was incredible – so soft and romantic.

Boudoir portraits are a fantastic groom’s gift.  Jena wanted her wedding gift to Tom to be super special and knew that this would totally surprise him. Jena chose her favorites and we designed an absolutely beautiful album for Tom, and I know for a fact that he loved his wedding gift! Thank you Jena and Tom for letting me share these absolutely gorgeous photos!

Take note 2012 brides!! If you want to surprise your spouse with something totally unexpected – boudoir portraits are a classy and sexy gift! :)

Featured – A Northwoods Wedding, Stephanie & David http://ingmanphotography.com/blog/2012/01/03/featured-a-northwoods-wedding-stephanie-david/ http://ingmanphotography.com/blog/2012/01/03/featured-a-northwoods-wedding-stephanie-david/#comments Wed, 04 Jan 2012 05:12:19 +0000 Anne http://ingmanphotography.com/blog/?p=4477 Love the ladies at A Northwoods Wedding – their enthusiasm is authentic and contagious! Recently, they featured Stephanie and David’s engagement/rehearsal photos. Did you know that Jenna (from A Northwoods Wedding) is actually FROM Esko, Minnesota! Such a small world…well, in the Midwest anyway! Thanks so much, Jenna and Britt!

I asked Stephanie and David to share a bit more about their rehearsal and wedding, here is what they shared: “Our wedding venue could not have been more appropriate. David proposed in a sauna which made Hemlock Preserve in Esko, Minnesota an easy choice. We wanted to welcome our family and friends to a place that was distinctly Minnesotan. The dairy barn converted into an event space accompanied by a Finnish wood-fired sauna provided a simple and comforting welcome to our weary wedding travelers. In total we had 60 guests which was the perfect amount to fill the barn loft for the dinner. Food was catered by B & B in neighboring Cloquet, MN which Hemlock organized. Stephanie’s aunts provided the traditional Indonesian delicacies for dessert. The venue lent itself towards simple decor with the focus on sharing this time with our guests. Flowers were re-used the next day for the wedding. Anne Ingman’s stunning photographs captured the ‘feeling’ we had that afternoon, finally being able to relax and enjoy our time with guests after months of anticipation. After the dinner, the sauna was ready which offered a unique memory for us and our friends.”  Thanks Stephanie and David!

Handmade and vintage treasures abound. When Christine (from Etsy) contacted me about featuring our house on their Get the Look Decor blog – I was thrilled! The post includes a collage of each room in our house with items linked below that are similar in style and feel. Fun, right?!  Thanks so much, Etsy!

The original 1943 chapel of Roseville Lutheran was absolutely charming and a perfect choice for Jena and Tom’s “first look.” Isn’t Jena stunning as a bride?! Tom, you were looking pretty great as well :)

Jena and Tom are a fantastic couple - laid back but totally organized. My kind of bride and groom! After the ceremony we headed down to Upper Landing in downtown St. Paul for some additional portraits and fun with the wedding party. Shooting right before sunset does not disappoint – absolutely gorgeous light.

My friend Paige, from de Wees Photography second shot for me and some of her images are displayed below. Congratulations Jena and Tom – it was truly an honor to spend the day with you both!

We all had fun exploring their acreage in Columbus, and were able to take advantage of the last bit of gorgeous fall weather. Three year old Asher was on the move for most of our shoot, but five week old Jory was content as can be. I really enjoyed our afternoon together – thanks Kelly and Luke!
